Motivated by Edvard Munch's iconic painting, 'The Scream,' and by the complex dynamics of my relationship with my father, I set out to explore how colour and form can articulate the profound emotions entwined with trauma. The tumultuous life events that Munch depicted in his art resonated with me, compelling me to unveil my own personal narrative. In my creation, a mosaic of pixels serve as a backdrop for the intricately hand-threaded image in the foreground. I aimed to present my story, offering a canvas for viewers to interpret and relate to through the lens of their own life experiences and emotions. The artwork serves as a medium through which my narrative intertwines with a universal human experience, encouraging others to connect with their own stories and feelings.
