QUARAN-TEEN ART

During our first lockdown, Arts Captain - Lauren Galtieri organised an Art Competition to keep our students occupied whilst at home. The theme of the competition was ‘Life Interrupted’. Students were asked to think about what this term meant to them and then create an artwork using their choice of media. The following video was used as inspiration for our students.

This was a competition open to all students not just those studying Art. The Student Executive were asked to vote for their favourite artwork in each Year Level. The following students took out the winning prize in their category:

Year 7 - Jemma Moschini
Year 8 - Claire Ostrowski
Year 10 - Madison Ostrowski & Marie Ioannou
Year 11 - Adele Roeder
Year 12 - Janeca Cabanayan

Although the Art Competition only ran for a couple of weeks, many of our students continued to use art as an outlet during both lockdowns. Therefore, we felt that it was important to acknowledge the work and include it in our 2020 exhibition.
