CHLOE PISANI

Chloe Pisani
It’s always wonderful to welcome back ex-students to the College. They obviously feel their time with us impacted on their life and they want to come back and do the same for new girls who follow. One such alumna is Chloe Pisani who spent her residency, with our Media classes.

As a Year 11 student, Chloe studied Unit 3 & 4 Media and created a stop-motion for her final product. After completing her VCE she went on to study animation at the Victorian College of the Arts. As an artist in residence, Chloe introduced our students to basic 2D animation techniques including a walk cycle that has long served as a benchmark for professional animators.
Chloe Pisani is a Melbourne-based designer & illustrator who runs her brand under the pseudonym CACTVS.

A bit about the artist...

One of Chloe’s core values is resilience in the face of extreme circumstance. Cacti not only endure harsh conditions, they THRIVE.
Through this concept, CACTVS was born. Chloe’s illustrative work is heavily influenced by tattoo culture and Japanese Ukiyo-e works.

The CACTVS range takes on many forms from pop culture greeting cards & sticker packs, to original illustration & streetwear. Chloe believes in supporting local and for this reason, wherever possible, she prioritises sourcing all materials and manufacturers within Melbourne or Australia. All works featured in the CACTVS store are designed, illustrated and created by Chloe in her Melbourne studio in Australia.
